Music 169: Bon Iver

When November rolls around, Bon Iver (pronounced Bone Eevair, french for 'good winter') is just about the best autumn music you can get. Bon Iver is a folk band that is composed of Justin Vernon and some fellow live backup musicians (Michael Noyce,Sean Carey, and Matthew McCaughan). They formed in 2007 when their debut album For Emma, Forever Ago (early 2008), came out. Most recently though, their album Bon Iver came out.


Bon Iver's music is full of meaningful lyrics, calming tunes, and the ability to get you hooked after a few seconds of listening. Here are some of Bon Iver's biggest hits:
